As we know beads are made out of various materials(glass,wood,metal,stone,paper,shell,pearl, plastic,acrylic,fibers and perhaps some I’ve missed). And now resin beads are popular. I find them interesting when creating my handmade beaded jewelry. Wood is a very versatile medium. I especially like it when it’s used in jewelry. Wood beads are great to work with. These days they come in a variety of shapes and vibrant colors. I love using them in my handmade beaded jewelry.

Wood beads have been around awhile. I think they make beautiful and many times unique necklaces. You can mix them with other mediums, and it makes a dazzling statement.

Now that it’s Summer, arms and legs are exposed. Why not show off your legs with a nice anklet. They come in all colors, many designs, and made with a variety of materials. I’ve had some folk tell me anklets make their legs look sexy.

I love beaded jewelries, most specially those that are made of crystal beads. I also believe that every color of these precious beads has its own significance and alter-effects to the person who wears it.  Like for instance the rose quarts which signify and attracts love. So it is said that single women who wants to attract the possibility of love should wear any form of jewelry made of rose quarts.

I never knew that top-quality handmade jewelry could be so affordable.  This new necklace is amazing.  I love the contrasting colors the most.  The way they blend really gives the necklace a unique character that you don’t find on any other kind of jewelry.  The stuff at the mall is all stock and it’s way overpriced.  What’s more, it sn’t even that attractive.

I’ve always thought jewelry was supposed to be at least a little noticeable so that it was complementary of whatever you happened to bee wearing.  It’s good to know I have options.  When it comes to beaded necklaces and even bracelets and earrings your selection is hands down one of the best I’ve ever seen.

Today was dark , dreary and rainy. I decided it was a blue day, I was in a B mood so I decided to bead. I made a blue handmade beaded necklace with one of my favorite beads TURQUOISE. But not to be too blue I added a touch of spice with some coral.

Wondering what to do with your beaded anklets?

An anklet, ankle chain, or ankle bracelet, is an ornament worn around the ankle. Anklets historically have been worn for centuries by unmarried women in India, though in the United States both casual and more formal anklets became fashionable in the late twentieth century. While in western popular culture both younger men and women may wear casual leather anklets, they are more popular among women, and more formal anklets (silver, gold, beads) are almost exclusively confined to women’s fashion.

Anklets can be made of silver, gold, and other less precious metals as well as leather, plastic, nylon and other such materials. In the western world anklets or ankle chains are mainly worn by younger females, but some older women also wear them.

Metal anklets are of two types - flexible and inflexible. The flexible ones, often called pajeb or jhanjhar in India, are made by tying links in a chain. Subsequently, sonorous bells can be attached to the chain, so that the wearer can make pleasing sounds while walking. Inflexible ones are usually created by giving shape to a flat metal sheet.

Most anklets seem to be worn on the right ankle. Perhaps this is due to more people being right-handed. Although in eastern cultures, anklets are worn on both ankles.
