In the big city where I live it’s been cold, snowing, miserable weather lately. This winter we’ve had more snow then   previous years. I just hate cold snowy weather. This weekend we will be putting the clock ahead one hour and the weather will be almost spring-like. Spring is definitely in the air, my mind is racing, I’m seeing many design ideas in my head for my jewelry. The ideas are popping up so quickly. I’ve pulled out my beads, I’m taking inventory, I’m thinking Spring colors, graduations, proms, weddings. OH HAPPY DAY.

We all expect to see those warm jewel tones as the summer ends, and we expect the cool fall colors of fall and winter. But guess what? Some of those warm colors will be a must have for the Fall and winter. A lot of ladies love the color blue, it’s a must for your jewelry wardrobe. It remains a hot color for the 2007-2008 Fall season. So sapphire, aquamarine, blue topaz, should definitely be part of your jewelry wardrobe. The pinks and purples will also be back this fall. Try pink topaz and amethyst. I’m also seeing combinations of orange and blue, gray and yellow and browns, taupe and beige. These combinations are being used not only in jewelry but in accessories, bags, and home decor. PINK can be very dramatic, fun and sassy. It has become one of my favorite colors.

Copper and Cats Eye Necklace

We are so accustom to our silver and gold jewelry. I forgot copper also makes a statement when it’s used in jewelry. Copper comes in so many hues. Recently I took out my copper wire and created a few new pieces. I’m also getting request for more copper jewelry. A few people told me they like to wear copper in the Spring and Summer. So I say IT’S COPPER TIME. My work can also be found at Daring.etsy.com

There is no shortage of color for the Spring/Summer season of 2008. The trend for blue has been slowly growing and this season we can say Blue is Back and with a vengeance. Manufacturers are working to produce a wide range of attractive tones for the 2008 Spring/Summer season. Royal blue will be there show casing it’s brilliance on jackets and parkas. Of course denim is always fashionable. If blue is not your favorite hue, a blue chambray shirt is a must have for Spring Summer 2008.

Spring 2008 continues last autumn’s theme of lilac, magenta and purple puce. The purple mauve tones have been a very strong fashion color trend since 2007, and now there is a tonal merge with orchid lilac to bluebell. Frequently the purple color group is set against the hot pinks, cerise and softer pink orchid tones

Spring has a great color palette with pinks frequently mixing with other bold brights. Designers have used pink next to orange, coral, rose amethyst, purple and surprisingly, lemon yellow or green. Tie dye and painted fabrics are all the rage for Summer 2008. Merged dye colors easily create fantastic color schemes, which are often enhanced with painted watercolor effects. All the warm colors show their lively brilliance, from coral to soft peachy watermelon. By Fall, burnt tangerine will emerge from the soft and delicate peach tone offered this spring.

Like it or not yellow is sneaking back into the color palette for Spring Summer 2008. Yellow is a tone you either love or hate. I feel that if you are fair you will love lemon and yellow. The lemon yellow tones are mingling too with mustard, olive and khaki greens. Think of the mixed citrus skin on a lemon that veers toward lime. This is the yellow green color palette.

Tribal fabrics are often brown based, but with jolts of added color for bands and straps. Creamy coffee, taupe, silver gray and mole mixtures work well in tribal mixes especially when teamed with bold trims of red or yellow, bringing sunny heat to the latest 2008 print fabric designs.

These coffee cream colors easily blend with the dusty and subtle orchid pinks of the spring summer 2008 fashion color palette. This is the neutral, grays, creams, and coffee tone palette.

Black on Black & Black with White

Black and White Monochrome Options is a continuing strong trend. And guess what? Beads come in so many shapes and sizes and all of these color palettes. You can design and make your jewelry to coordinate with the latest fashion color trends. HAPPY BEADING
