Archive for February, 2010
Hello 2010, I greeted this new year surrounded by people I love, in good health, still working at a job I love for 31 years and learning and growing in my craft. None of which is new, and for that I am graciously grateful. In 2010 I will focus more on the simply things and the joy it brings.
More time listening to my favorite musical artist,
More time doing absolutely nothing,
Sitting in my Springtime garden,
Finding natures wonders in my Winter garden,
Enrolling my granddaughter in the creative girl craft club,
Creating a jewelry piece at the spur of a moment,
Just looking at my beads.
This past Sunday after dinner I took a look at some beads I had on my work table. It was quite a few beads. Lot’s of shapes and colors. I spent about 30 minutes looking through them then I went to bead. The next day my 14 year old son(who at times will accompany me to expos or craft shows)said “Ma did you make something new”? The answer was no. Then I had an ah ha moment and asked my son to pick 3 beads from my desk and I would make something from those beads. This picture is the end result. My son thought the necklace was “off the hook”. He tells me that’s a good thing.
